Overall Thoughts for 2011 Sales at Dorchester Towers Condominium:
As selling agents for many of the apartments in 2011, we saw a tremendous amount of activity for well priced apartments in the studio to one bedroom sizes. We have aggressive marketing plans and extensive knowledge of the building. Our extensively marketed open houses were full and offers came in quickly.
In Dorchester Towers Condo, The condition of the apartment was a huge factor. Newly renovated apartments sold for a premium compared to the somewhat renovated or the original condition apartments. Second behind condition was the view and floor. Prices compared to the 2010 Market Report inched up just a little bit. Both the studio and one bedroom layouts saw an increase of about 1%. Compare this to the 2011 Market Reports that came out from the major Manhattan real estate companies that indicated the overall volume of sales in 2011 were off approximately 10%.
