The Harrison Condominium at 205 West 76th Street is one of the only new construction condominiums that can be found in the heart of the Upper West Side. Located on 76th between Amsterdam Ave and Broadway, the Harrison Condominium brought the timeless pre-war architecture that the Upper West Side is known for together with the modern conveniences of today's new construction development.
The Harrison was designed by Robert A. M. Stern, most well known for his design of 15 Central Park West. The developer of the Harrison was the Related Companies. The classic designs that Robert A.M. Stern is well known for along with the Related Companies reputation for well built and well run condominium developments resulted in a very successful outcome.
The layout of the building is not that of a high rise condominium complex, rather it is a combination of a 19 story building and a 14 story building, built around the existing Upper West Side buildings that sat on the site. When you enter the building on 76th Street you will be greeted by a 24 hour doorman and concierge. The lobby entrance is a sophisticated combination of pre-war elements including Romanesque columns and arches along with a stone fireplace and English Oak mill work.
Amenities in the building include a Children's playroom, an entertainment lounge with outdoor courtyard, roof top deck, garage and access to the Equinox Gym located on the Amsterdam side of the building. Membership to the Equinox gym was given to initial owners in the building for a set amount of time, all new owners will need to verify any membership incentives.
The apartments at the Harrison were well received. Layouts are spacious and well thought out. The attention to detail blending new construction materials with classic design can be found throughout the apartments. Herringbone floors, kitchens have mahogany cabinets, polished granite counter tops, detailed black splashes along with master 5 piece master bathrooms.
The mix of apartments in the building is mainly two and three bedroom layouts, with a few One bedroom layouts. Larger apartments can be found on the higher floors, many with excellent Upper West Side views, great rooms for entertaining, and outdoor spaces. Prices vary throughout the building, contact us for a list of current availability.
