Riverside Blvd Upper West side neighborhood of NYC
Riverside Boulevard in the Upper West Side is the location of the Trump Place buildings and now the recent developments from real estate developer Extell.
Known as the Riverside South area this was originally a freight rail yard owned by New York Central Railroad. Originally estimated as a 3 billion dollar project, spanning from 59th Street to 72nd Street. Decades of development deals falling apart, finally in the late 1990's, construction began on the project. A series of condominium buildings were built, along with the necessary infrastructure design for the West Side highway to accommodate the massive project. The rail system was rerouted.
The area now features ballparks, bike paths, and a very friendly promenade area running up and down the Hudson River. The area has been transformed quite extensively and has become very popular.
One of the most popular features of the area is the continued redevelopment from the real estate developer Extell. They are currently in the process of starting the Riverside South project. They have completed a number of successful condominium buildings including the Rushmore, the Avery and recently the Aldyn and the Ashley.
The Trump Place buildings include 240 Riverside Blvd-The Heritage, 220 Riverside Blvd-Trump Place, 200 Riverside Blvd, 120 Riverside Blvd, and the rental buildings.
The Hudson River views, along with terrific amenity packages and great service have made the Trump Place buildings extremely popular. The new construction from the Extell company has made the area extremely desirable.
